Donald J. Woodliff, 88, of Dunedin, Fla., and formerly of Battle Creek, died Saturday in Meese Hospital in Dunedin after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Hanover. He was employed by General Foods Corp. 41 years and retired in 1958 as a supervisor.
Many years ago he played on the Post semi-professional baseball team as a pitcher and traveled extensively with the team. He was a member of the Post 25-Year Club, and was an Army veteran of World War I.
His wife, the former Irene Carswell, died in 1964.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Florence L. Elliott of Dunedin.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Farley Funeral Home.
